KASESE: The Kasese District Forum for Democratic Change-FDC Party Chairperson, Saulo Maate has expressed disappointment over the manner in which the party was allegedly denied access to the Muhokya Internally Displaced Camp to supply some scholastic materials to the learners living in the camp.
According to a letter January 07, 2022 and signed by the District FDC Chairperson, Saulo Maate, the party informed the RDC’s office that they intended to supply scholastic materials including exercise and champion books, mathematical sets, and pencils among others to primary pupils in the Muhokya Internally Displaced Unit on Saturday January 08, 2022.
But Maate says the exercise did not take place after the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Joshua Kisembo Masereka directed them to the Kasese Chief Administrative Officer, Amis Masereka Asuman who instructed the FDC team to deliver the items to the official district stores.
When asked about the development, the Kasese Deputy RDC said that the FDC team was encouraged to follow the proper procedures like the rest of the donors, something that they declined to do.
