By Zalimon Basighalha

The former Busongora South legislator, Jackson Mbaju Kathika has submitted his written file to Court as advised by Hon Lady Justice Victorious Katamba at the High Court in Fort Portal on August 26, 2021.

Kathika through his lawyers of Guma and Company Advocates who is challenging the election of Gideon Thembo Mujungu as the duly elected Member of Parliament for Busongora South Constituency submitted the file.

Kathika ran to High Court in Fort Portal arguing that Mujungu’s victory was full of irregularities and subsequently court heard the petition and set October 25, this year as the day to deliver the final judgment.

But as court procedure, the two parties in the case were asked to first submit a written file detailing their case to the Justice who is handling the petition as well as serving the respondents including Gideon Thembo Mujungu, his Lawyers and the Electoral Commission.

Kathika has since confirmed to this online that he had submitted a written file as it was directed by the Judge.

Kathika said he was hopeful that Court would offer justice to the aggrieved parties when it delivers its final judgment on October 25, 2021.
