Hima Town Council resolves to focus on the improvement of roads and heath facilities

Authorities in Hima Town Council, Kasese district have resolved to focus on the improvement of roads and health facilities in this Financial Year.

The development was revealed today by the Town Council L. C III Chairperson, Hilda Businge Maate while speaking to our reporter shortly after the Council sitting.

According to Businge, most roads in the urban centre have been destroyed by the running water hence affecting easy transportation of agricultural produce to the market centres.

She is optimistic that once roads are worked upon, some business activities would be boosted and thus Council would realize increased local revenue.

Businge says they also plan to modernize the urban centre through the provision of street lights to create a better environment for people to carry out their businesses with ease.

Businge, who is the first woman in Hima to ascend to the L.C III seat in Hima Town Council, adds that they will also plant beautiful trees in the urban centre in order to attract tourists.

She, however, appeals to the elected leaders and technical wing to cooperate and work together for the realization of all planned activities.

Ramanzani Bwambale, the Council Speaker, says he is optimistic that the construction of the Country Home of the Rwenzururu King, Omusinga Charles Mumbere Iremangoma in the neighboring Kitswamba Sub-county would also boost some tourism activities in the area
