Yet to be identified explosive device injures two in Kasese

Yet to be identified explosive device on Tuesday evening injured two children in Kogere cell in Rukooki Ward, Nyamwamba Division of Kasese Municipality.

The incident happened at around 7:35pm.  The victims, who have since been rushed to Kilembe Mines Hospital, met their fate when they were allegedly collecting scrap and in the process they collected the yet to be identified object which later burst and injured them.

The Municipal Councilor representing Rukooki Ward, Herbert Bwambale confirmed the incident and said police was immediately alerted and swung into action.

According to Herbert, one of the victims has been amputated with one arm and the seriously injured on the stomach. The second one has also been amputated with the leg.

Bwambale explained that the victims were hurriedly been rushed to Kilembe Mines Hospital in Kasese town.
