Unauthorized drivers and boda-boda riders in Kasese to face it rough.

By Baluku Alex

As measure to curtail the ever increasing cases of accidents in Kasese district, police has resolved to mount operations aimed at eliminating unauthorized drivers and boda-boda riders from operating on the roads.

ASP Nelson Tumushime, the Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson, says during the operations, they will arrest unauthorized road users arguing that they could be the reason why accidents are happening day and night.

According to him, police has observed that some drivers and boda-boda riders do not have enough experience and skills to operate on the Highways.

His comments follow an accident that happened last evening at Kiteso along the Kasese –Muhokya Highway in Kasese town.

The accident involved a Toyota vehicle registration number UBG 820X and a bajaj motorcycle registration number UEX 497H. During the incident, two people were severely injured and rushed to Kilembe Mines Hospital.
