Uganda’s daily COVID-19 recoveries hit 1,136 as Lockdown nears end.

The Ministry of Health in Uganda has registered 254 new cases of Covid-19 which is 8.0%  of the 3,171 sample tests done on 18th July 2021.

The new cases raise the country’s cumulative confirmed cases to 90,910 from 1,431,068 total samples tested so far.

The statistics from the Ministry of health also confirm that 1,136 Ugandans have won the disease in the last 24 hours rising the cumulative recoveries to 69,377.

The Ministerial statistics also confirmed 20 new deaths hiking the cumulative death toll to 2,412 since the pandemic’s outbreak in March last year.

A total of 1,101,431 people in Uganda have so far been vaccinated against the virus.

The new cases are Kampala 104, Kabarole 13, Kumi 11, Napak 11, Pader 10, Mbale and Oyam 8 cases each, Iganga, Wakiso and Kapchorwa each with 7 cases, Nakapiripirit, Buikwe, Kamuli and Busia all with 6 cases each, Kibuku 5, Nabitaluk 5, Kalaki 4.

Others are Nakaseke, Tororo and Mbarara each with 3 cases, Kasese, Apac, Mukono and Amuria 2 cases each, Kikuube, Kagadi, Butambala, Kabale, Kyotera, Omoro, Buvuma, Adjumani, Luuka, Kaliro, Masaka, Namayingo and Amuru with one case each.

The ministry of health also confirmed 3 cases from truck drivers 2 of whom are from Mutukula and 1 from Malaba border points of entry respectively.
