Security commends bodaboda riders and drivers for their compliance to Covid19

By Our Reporter

Security in Kasese has commended boda-boda riders and drivers for their compliance to the standard operating Procedures aimed at curtailing the spread of corona virus.

Rwenzori East Police Spokesperson, ASP Nelson Tumushime, says since the resumption of public means of transport, there have been attempts by several bodaboda riders and taxi drivers to adhere to the presidential directives and other guidelines issued by the ministry of health to forestall the spread of Covid19.

Tumushime, however, noted that there are still some individuals who defy the directives by for example carrying two passengers for motorcycles and more than half the capacity for vehicles.

He cautions such individuals adding that the law would catch up with them soon.
