KISORO– The Police in Kisoro district are investigating circumstances under which a 22 year old man was found dead, body floating in water pond.
The deceased has been identified as Matayo Maniriho a resident of Koranya Trading centre in Gisozi parish Muramba Sub County in Kisoro district.
James Nzitatira, the Muramba Sub county Vice Chairperson noted that the deceased’s body was discovered on Saturday August 14th 2021.
Robert Mugenyi a Police officer at Kisoro central station told the press that the body was recovered from the waters and conveyed to Kisoro Hospital for postmortem.
Mugyenyi adds that their investigations have already commenced to establish the real cause of this death.
This becomes the second death by drowning being investigated by the same Kisoro District Police.
Also on Friday, residents discovered a lifeless body of unidentified man in his 20’s from L. Kayumbu in Murola Sub-county in Kisoro district.
