The Police in Kabale district are hunting for an unknown assailant(s) who allegedly murdered a 45 year old woman.
The deceased is Flora Muhirwe a resident of Kanyanjoka cell, Kacerere ward Katuna town council in Kabale district.
The deceased’s body was discovered this morning lying in an uninhabitable house belonging to Mugisha Amosi of the same address.
Elly maate the Kigezi region police spokesperson says that the deceased was lastly seen on Tuesday at around 10:30pm in company of one Byamukama alias Kaboy along the way to the scene and this morning was found murdered.
Maate adds that Katuna Police was notified, visited the scene and that efforts to get Byamukama arrested are being initiated.
The Regional Police PRO condemns the act stressing that the culprit will be charged accordingly once he’s arrested.
The case was registered at Katuna Police Station under reference number SD 04/21/07/2021.
