Rwenzori Daily Media Initiative Limited is expanding its team and seeking passionate and experienced Reporters to contribute to our newly introduced beat, “Her Voice.” This beat will focus exclusively on women’s issues, encompassing both positive and negative aspects. If you have a deep understanding of women’s rights, social justice, and a commitment to global gender issues, we invite you to be a part of this transformative journey.
Position: Reporter
Locations: Uganda 1, Kenya 1, Rwanda 1, Tanzania 1
Experience: 2 years and above
Compensation: Monthly Salary
Responsibilities:
Write compelling stories covering women’s issues from your respective country.
Ensure a balanced representation of Local, National, Regional, and International perspectives.
Contribute 6-8 stories monthly.
Collaborate with the Chief News Editor based in Kasese Municipality, Uganda.
Requirements:
Minimum of a diploma in Journalism and Media Studies or a related field.
Proven experience in reporting and writing, with a portfolio showcasing coverage of women-centric issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing news priorities.
Familiarity with digital media platforms and social media engagement.
A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in reporting.
Knowledge of current events and trends related to women’s issues globally.
