Farmers in Muhokya Mini-Irrigation Scheme in Muhokya Town Council, Kasese district have argued that the scheme might not serve its intended purpose because it has been politicized.
The scheme is well known for producing tomatoes, onions, cabbages and beans among others but according to Joy Kyomuhendo, one of the farmers, some of the elected leaders whom she did not name have handled the project basing on their political affiliations.
Andrew Matera, the Local Council I Chairperson for Rutookye cell where the scene is located however rubbished the claims by the farmers saying he has never received any complaint in his office accusing the elected leaders of mistreatment.
Alice Sanyu, the Extension Officer for Muhokya Sub-county says they have resolved to elect a new Executive Committee to manage the scheme after the farmers raised a number of issues during a meeting that was held recently.

Most parents need to be sensitized on proper parenting that’s when we can have good children in future. And the school children should also be tought about their roles as children in order to succeed with education. Some children don’t know why they are in school and the importance of education to them. Incase a child is unable to continue with normal education then take them for vocational skills
