In a bid to promote the sports talent in Kasese District, Dr Julius Monday Rude has laid down strategies of stretching his helping arm to support other young talents in the entire district.
Dr Rude Football Tournament was launched last year in December in the Sub-counties and town councils of Bukonzo County East by the Area Parliamentary National Resistance Movement flag bearer, Dr Julius Bwambale Monday Rude.
On January 3rd, 2022, Dr Rude 2021-2022 Football and Netball Tournament Semi-finals and finals were conducted at Kisinga Playground in Kisinga Town Council which saw Bright Line Football Club and Bright Line Netball Club winning the tournament.

Now, over the weekend, the technical team officially unveiled the selected team of best players to the press. The team was unveiled during a consultative meeting organized by Dr. Rude at Kisinga Vocational Secondary School in Kisinga Town Council.
During the meeting, the selected team and the tournament technical team pledged to work together towards uplifting the sports talents in the constituency and in the entire district.
The General Secretary for the tournament, Rabson Wayitha said that their aim is now to identify and populariz the young talents of the selected two teams through conducting outreaches within and outside the district.
He announced that on 14th February 2022, as the World celebrates the “Valentines’ Day’ Team Dr Rude will have a friendly match with Team Capson Sausi before they proceed to Busongora County North.

Mupeleka Kasereka, one of the Senior Referees in Rwenzori region and subscribes to Dr Rude sports Tournament technical team, said that in addition to revealing youth sports talents, the tour would also bring together all the youth in the region and the entire region regardless of political affiliations.
Earlier in her opening remarks, Roset Masika, the Chairperson for Dr. Rude Sports Tournament Technical Team, cautioned the selected teams from being mislead by politicians to politicize the tournament.
She said that despite being organised and funded by Bukonzo County East NRM parliamentary flag bearer, the tournament was not partisan only but to identify and support the young talents.
