There is need for the people in Kasese district to begin drafting their development plans for next year 2022 since the current year 2021 is left with counted days to end.
The remarks were sounded by the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku during a Christmas carol service for the Diocesan Staff that was held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Monday 20th December.
Bishop Baluku also courted the people to always embrace team work as a means of achieving their set goals in the coming year.
According to the Bishop, it is a responsibility of everyone to establish a development plan as a guiding tool for achieving success in life.
Quoting the Biblical Book of Ecclesiastes 4:9, the Bishop observed need for the people to strengthen teamwork as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in a bid to achieve the common goal of development.
Rev. William Muhindo Musisi, the Diocesan Director of Missions and Evangelism, encouraged the Church Administrators to look forward to putting up some activities that might support the spread of the Gospel of Christ.
According to Rev. Musisi, a section of Christians sometimes get involved in unholy activities during the Christmas period due to lack of spiritual guidance from the church ministers. He therefore advocated for church concerts and crusades among others as a way of redeeming their souls
In his remarks, Rev. Nason Mugisa, the Diocesan Secretary described Christmas as a period of celebrating with friends, family and relatives as well as evaluating the works of the year coupled with planning for the New Year.
