Bishop Bagamuhunda ordains 6 deacons

KABALE- The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi Rt. Rev. George Bagamuhunda yesterday ordained six deacons during the function that was held at St Peter’s Cathedral Rugarama, in Kabale Municipality.

The deacons are Sonia Kyarikunda and Pam Ainebyona, from Bubaare Archdeaconry, Moses Turinawe from All saints Church Kabale, Boaz Niwamanya from Kihanga Archdeaconry, Good Turyahabwe from Kikungiri Archdeaconry and Robertson Peter Agaba from Muko Archdeaconry.

Presiding over the function, Bishop Bagamuhunda reminded the deacons that the clergy always encounter hardships and happiness in the service thus a need to wholly surrender their lives to God. He further asked them to be trustworthy during their tenure as deacons.

Bishop Bagamuhunda further commended whoever have continued supporting the diocese in raising Ugx 140Am annually to sponsor people interested in studying theology.

Preaching during the service, the Archdeacon of Kikungiri Archdeaconry Venerable Milton Nkurunungi, asked the deacons to compete with the current technology which has misinformation about the word of God in line with Church canons.

Speaking at the same function, the State Minister for trade David Bahati, asked the clergy to start up income generating projects in their respective churches, as well as preach the gospel of unity and development.
