2 men suspected to be having connections with ADF are being held in Kasese

BY RWENZORI DAILY

Security in Kasese district is holding two men suspected to be having connections with the Allied Democratic Forces- ADF rebels that are terrorizing the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The suspects were arrested two weeks ago when they were pretending to be among the mad people in Kasese town.

The revelation was made on Sunday by the Deputy Resident District Commissioner in-charge of Busongora County, Mr. Zepher Mubingwa while addressing the congregation that had turned up for the New Year Mass celebrations at Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Church Parish.

Mr. Mubingwa explained that the two suspects used to stay around garbage collection areas like the mad people and yet they were on their own missions of feeding the ADF rebels with information.

According to the RDC, after investigating the suspects, they testified to be carrying out intelligence for the ADF rebels.

Mr. Mubingwa encouraged the local population to be security conscious and report the people who pretend to be mad in their respective communities.
