Rwenzori Daily, a leading news organization committed to promoting environmental journalism, is thrilled to announce its August Internship Program for passionate journalism students.
This two-month free internship program offers a unique opportunity for aspiring journalists to receive comprehensive training in biodiversity reporting, wildlife journalism, environmental reporting, water and climate change reporting.
Program Highlights: 🌿 Biodiversity Reporting: Gain in-depth knowledge and skills to report on the rich biodiversity found in the Rwenzori region and beyond. Explore diverse ecosystems, endangered species, and conservation efforts. 🐾 Wildlife Journalism: Learn the art of capturing captivating stories about wildlife, including conservation challenges, animal behavior, and the importance of preserving our natural heritage. 🌍 Environmental Reporting: Uncover pressing environmental issues and their impact on local communities. Develop the ability to investigate, report, and raise awareness about environmental concerns. 💧 Water and Climate Change Reporting: Understand the critical role of water resources and the effects of climate change. Report on water-related issues, adaptation strategies, and the intersection of climate change and human lives.
Internship Duration: 2 months (August – September)

Requirements: 📌 Journalism students currently enrolled in a recognized academic institution or recent graduates. 📌 Passion for environmental issues and storytelling through journalism. 📌 Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. 📌 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 📌 Proficiency in written and spoken English.
